Venus Express History
Thanks to state-of-the-art instruments for planetary investigations,
Venus Express is sending detailed data back about the Venusian atmosphere.
Venus Express is looking at its complex dynamics and chemistry, and the
interactions between the atmosphere and the surface, which will give clues
about the characteristics of the surface.
It will also study the interactions between the atmosphere and the
inter-planetary environment (solar wind) to better understand the evolution of
the planet.

Venus Express PSA History
A Soyuz-Fregat launcher set Venus Express on its course to Venus from the
Russian Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. The spacecraft entered Venusian
orbit on 11 April 2006.
The first data from Venus Express is available on the PSA FTP browser as of
22 September 2008. Further data are being processed and should be available
from the PSA shortly.

Accessing the Data: Venus Express
Link below for direct links to the Data Sets available for Venus Express.
The Planetary Science Archive stores planetary data on servers which
are publically accessible via FTP.
There are two other interfaces for data access available on the site.
These allow data searches using specific criteria, which is useful if you don't
know exactly which data set release you are looking for. The User Interface
Guides have more comperehensive information on the interfaces and any
necessary requirements for their use.
