Welcome to the Archive
The European Space Agency's Planetary Science Archive (PSA) contains data
returned by ESA's Solar System missions.
The primary objectives of the PSA are to:
- Support the experimenter teams in the preparation of their data
- Enable and ensure the long-term preservation of the data in the archive
- Distribute scientifically useful data to the world-wide community
- Provide supplementary data services aiming to maximise the usage of planetary mission
data and ease scientific data analysis.
The PSA uses NASA's Planetary Data System standards as a baseline for the
formatting and structure of all data contained within the archive. Follow the
'About the PSA' link below for information on the PSA and the PDS standards.
For information on the latest data and software releases, follow the

SPICE Datasets: Now available for Mars Express and Rosetta
The SPICE datasets containing ancillary data for the Mars Express and Rosetta
missions are now available. These can be accessed via the Advanced Search and FTP Access pages.
FTP Access: Mars Express
FTP Access: Rosetta
Accessing the Data
There are several ways to access data in the PSA:
- FTP Access: provides direct access to all publically available data via a simple web interface
- Map-based Search: provides a map-based interface for querying data (currently only supported for Mars Express)
- Advanced Search: complex querying of data through a web-based application
Links to access the data are available at the top of every page. Some interfaces
have requirements and these are listed in the User Interface Guides. The various
software tools available for use with the data are listed on the Tools page.
Background information on the missions and instruments providing data is
available on the Solar System Missions pages.
