INTEGRAL Archives Statistics

This page shows the INTEGRAL usage of the three distinct sites holding or linking to the INTEGRAL Archives: the two official Archives, ISDA (ESAC, Madrid, Spain) and ISDC (Geneva, Switzerland), and the mirror at HEASARC (Boston, US).

16-17 December 2010 Following the IUG recommendation 30 during Meeting #10 held at ESTEC in December 2010 (see minutes here), the Archive teams set up the following page to regularly give the Scientific Community the Archive Usage Statistics of the INTEGRAL data. In particular, the IUG recommended that all the INTEGRAL archives should provide data on the archive usage as follows:

- downloaded volume (external),
- number of download requests,
- and number of unique accesses (IP addresses).

However, since IUG #11 held in June 2011, the second item has been skipped from the statistics (see below).

Note that these numbers are not always trivial to interpret out of their context. We recommend you to also check the ISDA results interactively at this webpage.

29 September 2011 A table such as follows will be updated hopefully once per month, if data are available. See the notes below before interpreting any numbers.

(TBD: to be defined; ?: information not available)

Further comments: For the Russian RSDC Archive, no numbers are available per month, but the following estimations can be given:

- download/usage rate: ~500GB/month
- total visits: ~100/month
- unique visitors: ~20/month

ISDA does not keep track of the distinct IP (whether unique or not). ISDC had some overflow in the ftp log, therefore some data are missing for both March and April 2011 (the numbers reported above only concern the Archive Interface; HEAVENS or Archive browse numbers are not indicated). A similar problem happened for HEASARC for some months in 2010: January, February, March, July and August. The tool of HEASARC had a problem and it did not search for queries to all of the INTEGRAL web areas before 2011 (the numbers reported above do not reflect this). HEASARC numbers include both ftp and http areas; the ftp results are only for data downloads, while the http numbers are for all web accesses, including GOF web pages (hence, they are inflated). The closest thing giving individual IP addresses is "Sites".

Password Synchronization

The RSSD Web Portal provides a single login facility to simplify access to several other applications within this site.

The login facility has detected that you have passwords to one or more of these other systems (Livelink, Mantis, CVS, etc.) which do not match your current LDAP password.

By clicking on [SYNCHRONIZE] you will be able to reset all these passwords and bring them into line with your main portal password with no further effort on your part.
