Gaia on ESA's web sites
Information about the European Space Agency's Gaia mission can be found on several ESA web sites. The web sites have been devised to serve different audiences. More details of these sites are given below.
| Gaia at RSSD |
This web site (http://www.rssd.esa.int/Gaia) contains information and resources for individuals working closely with the Gaia project. The site is a tool for information flow between these people, and provides access to material that they require in order to keep up-to-date with developments in the project. Some of the content that was previously to be found on this site (e.g. overviews of the mission, description of scientific goals, etc.) has been moved to the Science and Technology web site (see below).
|
| Gaia on the Science and Technology web site |
The Science and Technology web site (Sci-Tech Portal) contains material of interest to the scientific, technical and industrial communities involved in the many missions of ESA's Science Programme. The Gaia pages of the Sci-Tech Portal contain mission overviews, summaries of the scientific goals of the mission, satellite and payload descriptions, and up-to-date status notes from the project. There are also links to outreach material produced by the project.
|
| Gaia on ESA's science outreach web site |
The ESA corporate web site is the communication outlet for the general public. Communication activities, including those on the Space Science Portal, are programme-oriented and not mission-oriented, thus Gaia will be presented in the context of the Science Programme as a whole.
|
| More about Gaia mission operations |
Gaia mission operations will be directed from the European Space Operations Center at ESOC, Darmstadt, Germany. Further details are available on the Gaia operations page of ESA's spacecraft operations web site.
|
| Other Gaia web sites |
There exist many other web sites dealing with the Gaia mission (see Related sites section). These are created and maintained by groups working on different aspects of the mission. ESA is not responsible for the content of these related sites.

Password Synchronization
The RSSD Web Portal provides a single login facility to simplify access to several other applications within this site.
The login facility has detected that you have passwords to one or more of these other systems (Livelink, Mantis, CVS, etc.) which do not match your current LDAP password.
By clicking on [SYNCHRONIZE] you will be able to reset all these passwords and bring them into line with your main portal password with no further effort on your part.
